What can I say? First, this is so not my genera of book. I’m the sci-fi and historical fiction type of person, I don’t even know why I wanted to read this book in the first place.
This book is about a boy who is going through a really rough and threatening time of his life: his mother is sick, his grandmother does nothing but make him feel even worse about it and his father is not much of a father.
I enjoyed the writing, especially when the monster is around, reminds us of dreams, distant lands and olden creatures and most of all I liked the fact that it talked about the feeling of not being seen which I believe it is one that we all have one time or another.
However, I found the story to be really predictable, as soon as the monster’s stories start I truly felt like I knew where it was going.
Not to say it is a bad book, on the contrary, I found it to be really entertaining, it just wasn’t a great one for me.
